Styling the Golden Globes

It's award season and as you may know, I am stying the stars! Well, not exactly- I search through the runway shows to choose gowns that I would offer the stars to wear if I were a stylist to the stars...If you remember last year's Oscar Challenge , I chose the lilac Ellie Saab for Nicole Kidman. Nicole ended up wearing something else, but that same lilac dress was worn by Mila Kunis! I was so proud.

Anyway, this year I am using my styling skills for the Golden Globes, but it will just be general dress selections for any attendee. I will save the specifics for the Oscar nomines. Of course this challenge is open for all of you bloggers who want to be a "stylist for the day." Just link to this post {and let me know that you did.} I would love to see all of your dress selections!

Now here we go!

I am predicting that we will see lots of feathers, sequins, and embelishments on this years gowns. I adore the flower petal detail on this Badgley Mischka Spring 2012 gown.

Monique Lhuillier must be having a "blue" moment, because for the past few collections she has turned out, it has been dominated by blue. I love this dress from her Spring 2012 collection- it is form fitted and sleek.

Tangerine and bright yellow are also a hige color this year. I honestly wanted to pick every single dress from the Naeem Khan Spring 2012 collection, but this one stole my heart with it's racer- back.

This dress is fit for a princess- or any hollywood leading lady for that matter...Reem Acra Resort 2012.

This oozes glam and sophistication- I can see Laura Linney or Kate Winslet in this Oscar de la Renta dress- Pre-Fall 2012

WOW! Christian Siriano totally surprised me with his Spring 2012 collection. This yellow beauty is waiting to make an apprence on the red carpet!

Anything Ellie Saab designs is going to turn heads. This stunner is from his  Fall 2011 Couture Collection and is a total dream *sigh* Michele Williams, this one is for you.

And there you have it! My picks for the Golden Globes. I am looking forward to Sunday night to see if any of these make it on the body of a celeb.

  9. I think you are spot on with these picks, I think Duchess Kate will have a big influence on this year's award ceremonies as well, particularly with her last few gowns she's worn (the McQueens and the Jenny Packham gown). Oh I just love Mila Kunis' lilac dress, so pretty!
