Another year is behind us and a new one awaits us with potential, opportunity and an abundance of beauty. Will you make it your best year yet?
One of the many lessons I have learned from 2010 is that a beautiful and truly simply luxurious life is something that is right at our fingertips if we choose to acknowledge it. As expected, I welcomed in the new year very simply, yet full of memorable moments. While I am excited about the year ahead, I can’t help but think of Anne Shirley’s quote from Anne of Green Gables - “Tomorrow is a brand new day, with no mistakes in it.”
Not only is it a brand new day, but a brand new year. And while there are no mistakes in it yet, I am thankful for the mistakes that occurred previously, and I am hopeful that I can apply the lessons I’ve learned successfully in the new year as to not repeat the same “oopses”. Because it is my true belief that there is no such thing as a mistake, only opportunities to learn from. And one thing I’ve learned is that it is the moments that we at first perceive as “small” occurrences that can have the grandest potential. Below are a few of the moments I can’t wait to savor hopefully many times over in the new year . . .
Happy new year and may it be full of riches and beautiful memories. (Thank you Cara for inviting me to be a part of your lovely blog. It has been a pleasure.)
Thank you Shannon!
